Possible Topics for Prayer during March

7th March----HOPE for our nations Jeremiah 2:8-13; 1 John 5:14-15
Confess: Lord have mercy on our broken society.
Pray: for wisdom for the Prime Minister and his cabinet; for increased input by Christian leaders into policy making; for guidance for policy makers in health, education, the judiciary system and business; for God's continued protection against terrorism; for my MP/MSP/local government leader.

14th March----HOPE for our friends Proverbs 18:24; John 15:12-14
Our hope is found in Jesus and He is the only hope for our friends.
Give thanks: for all the friends that God has brought into my life.
Pray: a BLESSing for friends who do not yet follow Jesus; for opportunities to invite friends to my home or to Easter events in my community, workplace or church; for ways in which I can get to know and serve my neighbours.
Consider: spending 5 minutes with God today in silence enjoying God's friendship.

21st March----The Big HOPE Luke 23:26-43; Luke 24:13-33
On Good Friday we reflect on Jesus' crucifixion while anticipating the joy of His resurrection.
Confess: when we as individuals and as a church have kept quiet about the fact that Jesus is alive.
Pray: for the good news of Jesus to be shared in every church in my community this Easter; for opportunities to share my own Easter story this week.
Consider: Setting up a prayer triplet to pray regularly for three friends who don't yet know Jesus.

28th March----HOPE in suffering 1 Peter 1:3-9; Romans 15:1-4
Our God is one who shares in our suffering and the suffering of His world.
Give thanks: that Jesus as Lord and Saviour knows about our troubles (whether material, physical, emotional or spiritual) and knows how to help.
Pray: for those I know who are suffering, that they will know the comfort, strength, healing and encouragement of God; for a person or people group who are suffering as highlighted in today's news.
Consider: finding out more and praying for brothers and sisters in the persecuted church around the world.
